Clinical Trials

The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS is a unique, community-based clinical trials program dedicated to the research of preventive vaccines and promising therapies in the treatment of HIV and AIDS and as such, we have contributed to Food and Drug Administration approval of many important, cutting-edge drugs that are today helping thousands of HIV-positive people.

As a Clinical Trials volunteer, you may receive:

  • No-cost physical exams and lab tests.
  • Sponsor-provided HIV treatment.

Participation in the program gives you a chance to use these new medications at the same time you're helping in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Any HIV-positive individual under a doctor's care may be eligible.
